Comfortable, Affordable Apartments for Seniors

The Grand Rapids Housing Commission (GRHC) operates four attractive, conveniently located housing developments that feature affordable apartments for seniors. In general, these retirement communities are open to income-eligible seniors ages 62 and older. Our Leonard Terrace, Mount Mercy and Sheldon Apartments developments also offer rent-subsidized units to income-eligible disabled residents who are at least 55 years of age; income-eligible tenants ages 55-61 who are not disabled pay a flat rent based on market rates rather than household income.
