Resident Services
A cornerstone of our mission is to assist families in their efforts to achieve and maintain self-sufficiency. To further this goal, the Grand Rapids Housing Commission employs a dedicated Resident Services team whose mission is to:- Link the families we serve with appropriate community services.
- Facilitate collaborative efforts between the GRHC and public, nonprofit and faith-based service partners.

- On-site counseling that links families with needed health care, mental health care, educational, job training, employment and transportation services.
- On-site food pantries at all housing developments that serve senior citizens and the disabled.
- On-site Senior Neighbors Center at Leonard Terrace Apartments.
- Literacy classes, computer training
- Educational special events
- Recreational and social events
- Summer and after-school youth program offered at Campau Commons and Creston Plaza family housing developments
- On-site Head Start program offered at Campau Commons and Creston Plaza
