Attention GRHC residents in grades K-12:

Enter the“What Home Means to Me” Poster Contest!

Grand Rapids Housing Commission residents in grades kindergarten through 12 have the chance to win a gift card and other exciting prizes by entering the “What Home Means to Me” Poster Contest! The contest is sponsored by the National Association of Housing & Redevelopment Officials, a trade organization that advocates for affordable housing nationwide.

The GRHC will offer a local contest that will award a $25 gift card to one winner in each of three age categories: Grades K-5, 6-8 and 9-12. All entries in our local contest will be sent on to the regional “What Home Means to Me” Poster Contest, and regional winners will be sent to the national contest in Washington, D.C. Twelve national winners will each receive a $100 gift card and one Grand Prize winner will receive an iPad and a trip to Washington, D.C.

The deadline to enter the local contest is February 20, 2018.

$2,000 Scholarship Competition Is Underway!

The Jean McKee Resident Scholarship Program offers college scholarships to residents of GRHC housing programs. Scholarship winners receive $500 per year for up to four years, for a total award of up to $2,000. Click Scholarship Application for complete details and the required application form.
